History of Volunteers In Medicine - West County Clinic

Volunteers in Medicine - West County Clinic was founded by a dedicated group of local physicians, nurses, and community leaders who recognized the growing need for accessible healthcare for uninsured adults in the community. Inspired by the national Volunteers in Medicine movement, the clinic was built on the belief that quality healthcare is a basic human necessity and that compassionate volunteers can make a lasting difference. Since opening its doors, West County Clinic has provided free, high-quality medical care to thousands of underserved patients through the generous service of volunteer healthcare professionals and the support of community donors, restoring dignity, improving health outcomes, and strengthening the well-being of the community.
